The Ekiti State government has declared a dusk to dawn curfew on Ado Ekiti, the state capital, following continued clashes between hoodlums and members of the Hausa community in the town.
The state governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose, announced the curfew after a meeting with members of the Hausa community in the town on Thursday.
He said the restriction would commence from 6.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m.
The governor urged the people to allow peace to reign and promised to resolve the crisis.
The governor had earlier met with the leaders of Hausas and Yoruba communities and drivers unions in Ado Ekiti.
